From measurements to a material plan

A clearer plan.
A more useful shopping list.

Connect the space, the product and the purchase quantity. Plan a room renovation, concrete patio or open-run fence using your measurements and product specifications.

1. Measure the space

Use a rectangle, or import the latest room-builder drawing. All drawn floors are included. Patio imports use floor area only.

Draw an irregular space →

2. Specify materials

Defaults are editable examples. Paint excludes primer and ceilings. Existing walls do not automatically need new drywall.

Applied to floor finish, drywall and trim in rooms; concrete in outdoor projects. Paint uses coverage and coats instead.

Layout preview

Rectangular-piece concept preview, not a cut list. No reusable-offcut, expansion-gap or edge-cut calculation. Check product-approved offsets. Pattern changes do not silently change waste.

3. Enter product prices

USD per purchase unit. Blank means unknown, not free. These are your entered prices, not live store quotes.

Tax applies to priced material rows only. Put applicable tax on labor or delivery in Other. Zero extras mean no allowance entered, not proof that those costs do not exist.

Live project worksheet

Concept preview, not an installation cut list or structural drawing. Fence runs are shown in sequence, with the entered gate opening highlighted.

    Measure with confidence

    Use inside dimensions

Rectangle ABAdd areas without overlapping sections.

Measure inside edges, label each change in direction and check the outline. For paint, measure openings separately. A floor exclusion does not automatically create a new wall.

    Compare the whole purchase

    Coverage changes the price

A lower price per box is not necessarily a cheaper floor. Capture a scenario, change coverage and price, then compare rounded package costs.

Compare paint after coats and coverage. For concrete, switch between bags and ready-mix and enter delivery, short-load and labor quotes.

    What has been checked

CalcCaddy prepares examples and diagrams. Automated checks cover units, package rounding, input errors and calculator handoffs. This is not an architect-, engineer- or contractor-certified plan.

Examples are hypothetical unless identified as actual projects. We do not invent experience, customer counts, testimonials or credentials.
