Built for practical planning

About CalcCaddy

CalcCaddy is an independent library of practical calculators with visible formulas, editable assumptions, and clear limits.

Useful numbers, without the black box

CalcCaddy helps homeowners, makers, and project planners turn measurements into useful material, quantity, and cost estimates. The calculators run in the browser, require no account, and show the reasoning behind the result.

How the tools are built

Each calculator starts with a documented formula, practical input defaults, a worked example, and plain-language assumptions. Where a standard or manufacturer specification applies, the calculator links to it. Where conditions vary, the value stays editable.

Regional pricing

Selected material calculators add a regional planning range based on state-level price-adjustment data. These ranges provide local context, not a supplier quote. The methodology and its limits are explained on the pricing methodology page.

Independence and limits

CalcCaddy is not a contractor, engineer, architect, code official, manufacturer, or materials supplier. The site currently has no active advertising or affiliate placements. Estimates should be checked against field measurements, product instructions, local codes, and qualified professional guidance when safety or compliance is involved.
